The Owners
Stace and Stacy Spencer opened Pet Me Scratch Me in January of 2006. Stace is a graduate of the Brown Institute in Minneapolis and Stacy is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Stacy has had the fortune to work in multiple dog daycares including a successful chain in Madison, WI and a daycare in Missoula, MT. She has also volunteered her time to work with animals at the Coulee Region Humane Society and the Basset Rescue of Montana. Since her first day working in dog daycare, Stacy has wanted to bring her experience with pack behavior and her passion for dogs to an area whose doggy population would greatly benefit from all the positive things that daycare has to offer.
Both Stace and Stacy are certified in Pet First Aid & CPR through the American Red Cross and have a great working relationship with West Salem Veterinary Clinic, enabling them to give the Pet Me Scratch Me pack the very best of care. In addition to their love for dogs, you will not find a more knowledgeable, experienced, and caring staff to watch over your dog in this unique type of playing environment.
Owning Pet Me Scratch Me has been a very rewarding and wonderful experience for Stace and Stacy and they look forward to serving the four-legged children of the Coulee Region for years to come!
Melissa
Daycare Supervisor
Melissa has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since January 2007. She is originally from Blair, WI and now lives with her husband, dog Zephyr, and cats Ramona and Hershey in West Salem. When she isn’t having fun with dogs, she likes to read, make jewelry, hike and spend time with family and friends.
Jaime
Jaime has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since May of 2007. She is from Onalaska and currently attends UW-La Crosse for psychology with a minor in Art. She has a houseful of pets uncluding; Xena the yellow lab, Taz the black lab mix, Dartanian the Beta Fish, Chunk the albino rat and two cats, Bailey and Mouser. Jaime says that her friends joke that she has three addictions – the color purple, chocolate and puppies! She can’t get enough of them!
Amanda
Amanda is from Byron, MN and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since September of 2009. She attends UWL majoring in Geography with an Environmental Science concentration. She enjoys running, doing crosswords and spending time with friends. She has two dwarf rabbits and a painted turtle!
Kaela
Kaela is from Colby, WI and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since September of 2009. She attends UWL majoring in Recreation Management. She enjoys watching movies, eating ice cream and dancing. She is on the Hip Hop Dance Team at UWL! She has 3 pugs named Winston, Bubba and Marlee.
Nicole
Nicole is from Alma Center, WI and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since September of 2009. She is studying to be a dental hygienist at WTC. She enjoys spending time with friends, watching movies, snowmobiling and 4 wheeling. She loves animals and currently has 6 dogs (a chow mix, beagle/basset, Chihuahua mix, 2 mutts and a Pekingese) and 5 cats!
Elena
Elena is from Eau Claire, WI and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since September of 2009. She attends UWL majoring in Psychology with an Art minor. She enjoys spending time with friends and she loves ALL animals. She currently has a Pit Bull Terrier named Maize Moo and a cat named Benny.
Katie
Katie is from Prairie Du Chien, WI and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since June of 2010. She attends UWL and is majoring in Clinical Lab Science. She enjoys spending time with friends and time on The Mississippi River. She currently has a black lab mix named Mac. Katie likes to travel and has been to Spain and Costa Rica.
Andrea
Andrea is from Antigo, WI and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since September of 2010. She attends UWL majoring in Therapeutic Recreation. She enjoys anything outdoors such as hiking, fishing, hunting and biking. She currently has a black lab named Daisy and loves to go bungy jumping!
Renae
Renae is from Rhinelander, WI and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since September of 2010. She attends UWL majoring in English Literature. She enjoys reading, painting and hanging out with her fiance. She currently has an 11 year old cat named Sadie. She was born in Okinawa, Japan and lived there for 2 years!
Kailynn
Kailynn is from Madison, WI and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since September of 2010. She attends UWL majoring in Community Health Education. She enjoys listening to music, watching tv and hanging out with friends. She currently has a hamster and loves to dance!
Cara
Cara is from DeForest, WI and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since September of 2010. She attends UWL majoring in International Business. She enjoys listening to music and spending time with family and friends. Cara currently has a Giant Schnauzer and a Calico cat and she has been skydiving!
Jordyn
Jordyn is from Gilman, WI and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since September of 2010. She attends UWL majoring in Biology. She enjoys running, reading and watching movies. Jordyn currently has a beagle, chihuahua and a horse and grew up on a farm with pigs and sheep!
Elizabeth
Elizabeth is from West Bend, WI and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since November of 2010. She attends UWL majoring in Business Management. She enjoys biking, reading, watching movies, playing video games and spending time with family and friends. Elizabeth currently has a 9 year old Cocker Spaniel named Kirby and a 2 year old Calico cat named Kaia.
Shelby
Shelby is from Eagle River, WI and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since January of 2011. She attends WTC majoring in Dental Hygiene. Shelby enjoys relaxing and being outdoors.
Holly
Holly is from Wisconsin Rapids and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since February of 2011. She attends UWL majoring in Psychology. Holly enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, reading and playing sports. She currently has a yellow lab named Gus and a toy poodle named Taffy. Because she hates cold weather, she plans on moving someplace warm once she graduates!
Naomi
Naomi is from Melrose, WI and has worked for Pet Me Scratch Me since February of 2011. She attends Globe University majoring in Veterinary Technology. Naomi enjoys playing with her dogs, fishing and spending time with family and friends. She currently has 4 black labs named Woody, Maggie, Junior and Tapper and a rat terrier mix named Oakley. Naomi is an outdoors girl and as such, she wore her hunting boots to prom and was then voted prom queen!
